Can I bring my pet animal to the farm?
Pets, including Emotional Support Animals, are NOT permitted at either of our farm locations. Service animals covered by the ADA will be allowed entry.
We are animal lovers ourselves but for the safety of your pet & the safety of our guests, pets will not be allowed to enter.
Is smoking allowed?
Nowhere on the farm premises is smoking permitted.
Can I bring food and picnic at the farm?
We ask that no outside food be brought to the farm, and picnicking is not permitted. Reichler Park is located within minutes of the farm in South Brunswick, and Meadow Breeze Park is located within minutes of the farm in Washington. Both parks have picnic & play areas.
Can I bring a stroller?
We do allow strollers, however in the picking fields, ALL bags, containers, baby strollers, etc. are subject to search by our staff.
What are your adverse weather and rain plans?
Safety is our number one priority at Von Thun, and we adjust our hours, opening, and closing times accordingly for weather events. If there is a chance of rain, or it is misting, we will be open. If in doubt, call the farm before you leave home. If it is only wet, we will be open, but please take this into consideration when planning to visit us and dress accordingly.
What are your conduct and child supervision policies?
Line Cutting: No line cutting on our event days. Please be courteous of other guests.
Profanity: Profanity and unruly behavior are offensive to our guests and may be cause for you being asked to leave without refund.
Child Supervision: Children should be supervised by parents at all times while at the farm.
What is your dress code?
To maintain a family type atmosphere, we require that our guests be dressed in accordance with the standards set forth here. We are a family farm – please dress accordingly. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.
You are visiting a real farm. We recommend wearing clothing comfortable for walking. Use hats for sun protection. Pay particular attention to footwear. Chances are good you’ll get a bit dirty, so choose your shoes wisely.
Do you offer first aid services?
We stock standard First Aid supplies that we can provide to our guests. If an incident warrants more assistance, we will contact emergency personnel. We DO NOT, under any circumstances, dispense Benadryl, Tylenol, or any other medications.
Do you have a lost and found?
We ask all guests to bring any items they find to the office. Guests inquiring about lost items should check with the office and leave a phone number they can be reached at should the item be found. We are not responsible for lost items.
Do you offer Military and Policy Discounts?
Official military or police ID, active or retired, grants the bearer and his or her immediate family $1.00 off regular admission. Cannot be combined with any other discounts.
Do you have on site parking?
Yes, we have plenty of parking and bus parking available for groups.
What items are prohibited at the farm?
- Alcoholic Beverages: NO alcoholic beverages are permitted at all, ever.
- Smoking or Tobacco Use: NO smoking or tobacco use on premises. We want to maintain a clean farm with clean, fresh air for all of our guests to enjoy. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with this policy.
- Other: Other prohibited items include glass bottles, knives, fireworks, firearms, and BBQ grills. We also ask that you do not use straws while at the farm, for the safety of our farm animals.
- Pets: pets are not allowed on the farm unless they are a service animal covered by the ADA.
Can I re-enter after I have left the farm?
For event days that we use wristbands: You must wear your Von Thun wristband throughout your visit to the farm. Readmittance is ONLY allowed with the wristband.
For event days that we use hand stamps: You must have your Von Thun hand stamp throughout your visit to the farm as readmittance is ONLY allowed with the hand stamp.
Failure to comply with the guidelines set forth will result in dismissal from the farm without refund of admission.
Should I make a reservation?
Please note, all large groups must pre-book their visit. To make a reservation, contact the farm office.
Do you have restrooms?
We provide portable restrooms, including a handicap-accessible unit, for your convenience.
Are you handicap Assessable?
We’ve done our best to provide smooth walkways for our visitors to walk on, but pathways can still be uneven or slippery, especially after a rain. All-terrain strollers or wagons for your kids work well, however they are not permitted in our picking fields. Wheelchairs are welcomed but users may experience difficulties accessing all areas of the farm. If you have any questions about our facilities, please contact us prior to your visit.
